Alcoholism is very rampant at these times especially on teenagers who started drinking at the age of 11. There are more than 17 millions of American citizens who suffer serious alcohol problems and most of them can not handle on their own.

In Christian point of view, drinking is not prohibited but getting drunk is bad already. I believe this is right because being drunk may lead you to some serious threat in life such as car accident or having a possibility of developing a certain cancer. Not only that, a drunken person can also be a threat in other’s life. You may commit a crime since you don’t have control over your mind and body. Some internal body organs can be damaged too and it may lead to possible birth defects.

In medical view, drinking alcohol can be helpful if moderated. Doctors usually recommend this to a person who suffers anemia. It can also burn fat from the food we eat and it gives serenity as well. Some drink alcohol to forget worries, pressure, stress and other problems. But, what if these negative issues will not go away? It is obvious that this person will become alcoholic and just end up miserable and dependent.

Pay attention if this happens to your loved one. Let them feel how important life is by giving your full support, love and care. The best way of their recovery is bringing them into an alcohol rehab centers. Let the professionals handle this for this is a serious illness.
